Noses Up is brought to you by two brothers who share a passion for chasing wild trout on spring creeks with dry flies. We love to recount our adventures, tell a few white lies, and share some insights we've gained from our time on the water. If you prefer to spend your days casting dry flies to wild trout, you've come to the right place!
Travis Figg
Travis is a husband, father of 3 little ones, writer, and fly fisherman. He grew up with a spinning rod in hand, throwing soft plastic worms to bass and crappie. One summer morning, he found an old bamboo fly rod while cleaning out the garage with his dad. He fell in love with rising trout and hasn’t looked back since. He spends his fishing days chasing wild trout with dry flies in the small, secluded Midwestern spring creeks he calls his home waters. He and his brother have paired their love of fly fishing and writing to create this site.

When not fishing or chasing his 3 little ones around, Travis helps out his local Trout Unlimited chapter by volunteering as their webmaster
